Exciting news for pickleball enthusiasts in Simcoe!
The Simcoe Pickleball Club has reached an agreement with the Norfolk County Fair Board to rent space in the CIBC Building (formerly the Aud). This move allows for the setup of six dedicated courts, providing a better playing experience and more opportunities for members to get on the court.
One of the biggest advantages of the new space is the improved floor surface, which is more conducive to play—offering better ball response and overall performance. With this transition, the club can now host more sessions, accommodate more players, and continue growing the local pickleball community.
While there is an extra cost involved beyond the current membership ($10 for members, $15 for non-members), the club is confident the investment is worth it. The transition to the new facility wouldn’t have been possible without the dedication of volunteers. A huge thank you goes out to Steve Dawe for his incredible efforts in lining the courts and setting up the brand-new nets – an investment that will benefit all players. Special appreciation also goes to Patty Picard for helping with setup and to Michelle, whose behind-the-scenes efforts keep everything running smoothly.
With the expanded space and top-notch facilities, the Simcoe Pickleball Club is ready for more exciting matches and a bright future ahead.
